Duo Eos is the result of a passion for the art of the romantic art song of two young musicians, soprano Sabrina Hintermann and pianist Martyna Smolińska. The duo, founded in Basel in 2017, performs regularly not only in the region but throughout Switzerland and in neighboring countries.
In their concerts, they interpret songs by Schubert, Schumann, Wagner, Strauss, and many others, which they combine with solo piano pieces. Duo Eos also performs at commercial events such as conferences, galas, or exhibitions and convinces with a lighter jazz pop repertoire.
The soprano Sabrina Hintermann sings as a soloist and in various formations throughout Europe. In 2014, she successfully completed her master's degree in solo singing and pedagogy in the class of Prof. Isolde Siebert at the Music Academy Basel. In 2016, she obtained the Master of Arts in Performance with Prof. Peter Brechbühler. 2016 – 2017 Sabrina Hintermann received a scholarship for the School of Excellence, a program for the promotion of young talents under the direction of the internationally renowned vocal pedagogue Margreet Honig, by whom she has been vocally supervised to this day.
Martyna Smolińska graduated with distinction from her Masters Degree at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw under Prof. Ewa Pobłocka and at the Music Academy Basel in the class of Prof. Ronald Brautigam. She complemented her studies by participating in various piano academies and interpretation master classes. She has won prizes at national and international piano competitions (including 3rd prize at the International Bedrich Smetana Piano Competition in Pilsen, Czech Republic, 1st prize at the National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Rzeszów, Poland) and festivals. Since 2008 she has regularly performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and song accompanist in Poland, Germany, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland.
